Nursing Poster Presentation Guidelines

 

 

  1. Tri-fold posters maximum size 3 ft x 4 ft.
  2. Posters will be placed on tables and must be displayed for entire symposium, 12/11/2008 @ 0800 through 12/12/2008 @ 1400. Each presentor is responsible for their putting up and removing their display.
  3. Limited space will be available on the tabletop for additional props and handouts.
  4. Display actual posters used in injury prevention activities or a poster that describes your initiative/activity.
  5. Posters should be brief and clearly organized:

ê                    simple with one or two obvious take home messages

ê                    easy to read from 1-2 yards

ê                    attractive and aesthetically pleasing

ê                    posters are to be void of author or and/or institution identifiers   

  1. Symposium attendees will be asked to base their choice for best poster on the following criteria:

ê                    Innovations on a new idea, or the creative modification of an existing idea

ê                    Potential to improve trauma care and/or prevent traumatic injury

ê                    Poster design and display

  1. There will be a poster walk during the first break on Friday, December 12, 2008;  be prepared to give a 3-5 minute summary of your poster.
  2. The winner will be announced during lunch on Friday, December 12, 2008.
