Advocate Injury Institute (AI2) Trauma 2008: “Risky Business” Third Annual: Nursing Poster Presentation: Sharing our Best The Advocate Injury Institute (AI2) is pleased to present the Third Annual Nursing Poster Presentation at the Advocate Injury Institute “Trauma 2008: Risky Business” Trauma Symposium to be held on December 11 -12, 2008 at the Lombard Westin Hotel, Lombard, Illinois. This year we have updated the format so that more of the exciting initiatives that are taking place in the community can be shared without the stress of a formal competition. However, due to popular demand we still have the “People’s Choice Award” as voted by symposium attendees. We will still request an abstract that explains your poster so that we can choose the posters from a variety of presenters. Abstracts for the poster presentation should reflect current trauma related initiatives that you are using at your facility. This can include: injury prevention activities, process improvement or patient care initiatives. Presenters may submit abstracts for more than one poster; however the review committee prefers to accept posters from a variety of presenters. The primary presenter of the poster will receive paid admission to the 2-day trauma symposium. There will be a limited number of posters that will be accepted, so it is important to submit your application as soon as possible. An introduction from your hostess, Kathy P. Submission Deadline and Review Process Guidelines The deadline for submission is November 7, 2008. The AI2 Review Committee will review abstracts that are applicable and significant to the spectrum of trauma care. Applicants will be evaluated on the basis of the elements describes in the guidelines that follow. Abstract Content & Format
